My group, Music

Right now my group is working on adding music and deciding what songs will go on the CD that will be played at the fith grade dance. The people in my group is Chris, Bayley, Celia, Mikayla, and me. Our responsibilities to the dance is to have good music that reprasents us (who we are). So far we are getting songs at a fair pase because we are working togethar. This dance will rule.

Bowling Rides

Are anyone's parent's volunteering to ride kids over to the bowling alley? I would like to go, and I only need a ride there. My mom said that she would pick me up afterwards at the bowling alley. Otherwise....um...Ms. Hicks? Are you offering rides?

HW Clarifications

Language Arts- Yes...it has to be a shell's story.  You are the shell or you heard about the shell.  It is a story of weathering and erosion. Tomorrow we will talk about leads using examples from the spring break essay. The essay is due on Wednesday as I cannot give you all hw on Wednesday night.

Social Studies- Just fix lessons 1-3 as they will be graded tomorrow.  Your chapter review is due tomorrow.  We will work on Lessons 1 from Chapter 12 for HW on Tuesday night.

Story

Is the shell story supposed to be creative and is it supposed to be make belief? i heard ms.hicks say something about that.

Science Packet Homework

I was packing on Friday, and I couldn't find my science packet. I had it before the last 2science rotations, but it wasn't there when we came back. The YMCA line was leaving, and they needed me to go. Ms. Hicks, did you find that packet on the internet? Can I just copy the questions and do it on a seperate piece of paper?

I didn't find it on the internet. They said that you had to buy it. I will come in early tomorrow and look for it. Maybe I will be able to finish it all.

Field Day

Today, we had a discussion about our field day name:

• Zamarripa-Hicks's Hasslehoffs (a movie Star that was on Bay-Watch..not a great actor who got a role in the Spongebob Movie- kind of comical....but does he represent us? or is it just funny...to some...)

I have an account on photo bucket but when I try to upload my pics it won't work. So is it ok that i can just bring my pics 2 school on a piece of paper in a collage form?

Language Arts/Exhibition: Make a collage to represent your personal essay. If it isn't inyour personal essay, then don't put it in your collage. Your collage is de Monday. It should be digital, but if you can't make on e that is on the computer, then just bring a bunch of pictures, drawings, or poems to school on Monday. You can include poems, pictures, or drawings in your collage. If you don't want to get really technological, then you can just make your collage on a poster board, and take a picture or it. That way, you can just upload the picture to the computer, instead of arranging and saving photos.
Social Studies: None.

Info on Class Elections

Here are all the notes that Ms. Hicks took on the board. They might help the people that are running for president or vice.

• Ms. Hicks will assign cops when she is out of the room or absent.
• The cop's job will be to write students' names down on the board if they are misbehaving, talking, etc.
• The table leaders will be the judges.
• Court is every Wednesday.
• The table leaders, president, and vice president will all be chosen by the popular vote of the class.

The requirements for speeches are in the homework post (below).
