In this project, you are to select a character from the Talking Earth and create a visual for this project:

Requirements of information are:
• Character traits (what makes them who they are physically (what they look like, where they live, their family, etc..)
• Motivation- What drives this character to do what he/she does. Ex. Woody wants to get rid of Buzz, Plankton wants to steal the Krabby Patty formula, Neville wants to destroy I-Carly website)
• Conflicts (what they have a conflict with -
Self vs. self- a character struggling with his/her own issues.

When was this project assigned? thanks
On December 8th when Talking Earth was assigned, we were told that the class would have a character project. When we left for holiday, the option was given to begin work on it, like brainstorming the character, taking notes about the character, or reading the book if we had not kept up with the reading. The rubric for the project was given to us when we came back from holiday. Some kids mentioned having worked on the project and some even re-read the book during the break.
We had Wed. in class 45 minutes, Thursday in class 30 minutes. We even got to use the labtops. You also could have worked on it during indoor recess (20 minutes). We are also going to have time on Friday to work in class. I am hoping to finish by Friday so I do not have homework over the weekend.
